London, 29 October 2009: Adam Jasinski, winner of the ninth season of Big Brother, was arrested for his alleged involvement in a drug ring that intended to sell Oxycodone. Found to be in possession of 2,000 tablets and attempting to sell them to a DEA witness in Boston the star now faces charges from the Drug Enforcement Agency.

Lazio, 28 October 2009: Lazio governor, Piero Marrazzo of the centre-left Democratic Party, turned in his resignation yesterday on the back of an embarrassing sex and drugs scandal.
The former journalist and politician, governor of Lazio since 2005, handed in his notice triggering regional elections sometime early in the spring, probably in March, to elect a new regional government.
Polanski’s sex victim wants case against him dismissed
London, 27 October 2009: Director Roman Polanski’s unlawful sex victim, Samantha Geimer, has called for the dismissal of charges against him, court documents show. Geimer was 13 when Polanski had sex with her in the late 1970s. However, after his arrest in Zurich, Switzerland last month Geimer’s family had said that the arrest of the acclaimed director distressed her because she became the centre of the story again, almost thirty years after the crime.

China film producer jailed for sex deals with teenage twins
Beiging, 24 October 2009: A court in Beijing sentenced the head of a film workshop who struck sex deals with teenage twins and other girls seeking acting roles to 10 years in prison for organizing prostitution Friday.
Hu Weidong, a 49-year-old from central China’s Henan Province, had coerced Beijing twins, Qin Qing and Qin Yun, known as “Baobao and Azi,” to have sex with him, his assistants and wealthy clients before the twins legally became adults at age 18, according to the Haidian District People’s Court.
US submits Polanski extradition request – but director will fight it, lawyers say
Geneva, Oct 23 2009: Roman Polanski’s lawyers said today that they would fight his extradition after the US formally submitted its request to have the Oscar-winning film director returned to Los Angeles to face the child sex charge he fled in 1978.
The Swiss authorities said that they had received the formal papers, almost a month after Polanski was arrested at Zurich airport as he arrived in the country to accept a lifetime achievement award for films such as Rosemary’s Baby, Chinatown and The Pianist.
David Letterman worried sex tape may get leaked
London, 22 October 2009: American talk show host David Letterman is reportedly worried that an alleged tape showing him having sex with a co-worker may become public. The comedian confessed having bedded a number of his female staffers and issued a public apology to his wife Regina Lasko on his “Late Show with David Letterman”.
The 62-year-old now fears a footage, apparently captured on a studio surveillance tape, will eventually be leaked.
Ex-Blagojevich aide pleads guilty to corruption
Chicage, 21 October 2009: A former chief of staff and longtime friend of ousted Gov. Rod Blagojevich pleaded guilty to wire fraud Tuesday and promised to cooperate with federal prosecutors in their corruption case against the former governor.
Alonzo “Lon” Monk, 51, said that as Blagojevich’s top aide he had witnessed efforts to shake down roadbuilders, a hospital executive and a racetrack owner for hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions for the governor.
‘Teen said he had sex with Ian Roberts’
October 20, 2009: Murdered teenage prostitute Arron Light was “besotted” with former rugby league star Ian Roberts with whom he said he had sex, an inquest has been told.
Convicted sex offender Maxwell Raymond Barry said Arron told him he had intercourse with both Mr Roberts and another male the footballer lived with, and slept “in the middle” of them.
Hage-Ali awarded $18,705 in court case
Sidney, 14 October 2009: A “bright young star” who was NSW Young Australian of the Year has been awarded almost $19,000 in damages for being unlawfully arrested in a cocaine case.
Iktimal Hage-Ali, who admitted using the drug, sued the state of NSW claiming she was wrongfully arrested and detained in Sydney in 2006 on suspicion of supplying cocaine.
